Since 1991, we have led the effort to maintain, protect and enhance the quality of Deerskin Lake (all 301 acres) and its surroundings for the collective interests of the members.

Membership

Membership is open to any individual, couple, family, partnership, business or organization that:

  • Subscribes to the purposes of the Association and,

  • Owns or leases property on or within one mile of the lake.

Enjoy the things that make Deerskin Lake a special place—fishing, water skiing, kayaking, a slow pontoon ride at sunset, stories around the campfire.
And get involved with your neighbors to continue the legacy.
— Mike Sanders, President, Deerskin Lake Association

Making a Difference

  • Aquatic invasive species removal.

  • Citizen Lake Monitoring Network to collect high quality water monitoring data - water clarity, water chemistry, aquatic invasive species and native plant surveys - for research and lake management.

  • LoonWatch to protect our common loons (and loon songs) from disappearing from the lake.

  • Dock installation and signs at the boat landing for safe, efficient boat launches and retrieves.

  • Bouy placement to mark rocks and no wake areas.

  • Community & Connection to continue the Deerskin legacy of building friendships and memories on and off the lake.
